Cottonwood Oppoeses the Proposal to Weaken the Endangered Species Act:

The recently proposed revision by the outgoing federal administration would eliminate the only Endangered Species Act regulations that currently protect species like Canada lynx and others. These species need these protections to survive and recover. If these revisions go through, they would prioritize timber sales over the protection of threatened species, potentially pushing many of them to the brink of extinction.  

Cottonwood wants to make it easy for our community to submit their own comments opposing this important and urgent issue. Public comments are due February 11, 2021.
