Cottonwood is joining the Gallatin Yellowstone Wilderness Alliance, Gallatin Wildlife Association, and Great Old Broads for Wilderness to present Bozeman’s 5th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tuesday, February 18th.
The Wild & Scenic Film Fest is a film festival by activists, for activists. The festival inspires environmental activism and a love for nature through film. Wild & Scenic shares and urgent call to action, encouraging festival-goers to learn more about what they can do to save our threatened planet.
The event will be held at the Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture. A social hour featuring pizza, beer and wine will kick the night off at 5:30pm, followed by the films at 6:45pm. Reception and screenings are FREE and open to the public.
The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL – pronounced ‘circle’) started the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in January 2003 to promote community building within the Yuba Watershed, as well as a way to explore environmental issues through an exciting and influential medium. The film tour allows SYRCL to share their success with other environmental groups nationwide.
